Foundation Mares

Our States Premium mares, originally imported from Germany, bring world class bloodlines (Raphael, Ganymed/Grundstein, and Wilhelm Tell) to America. Two have been Devon champions. They've produced stallion sons. Their foals are smart, athletic and correct. Together, they form an extraordinary breeding foundation:

SPS RUMPELSTILZCHEN

* 1991 Bay Mare with a star and two hind white socks
Sire: Raphael
Dam: SPS Ballerina (Bolero/Wendekreis)
Breeder: H.G. Mahler

Rumpelstilzchen is a mare of unmatched quality in the United States. She was the 1997 Mare Champion, Reserve Mature Horse Champion and Best Hanoverian Mare at Devon. In her performance testing in Germany, she received an unprecedented overall score of 8.5. Her gaits were all 8s, and her free jumping 10s. She was rated an overall 9-type in conformation. Rum has had a foal by successful emryo transfer and is currently being competed by Hilda Gurney in California. She's had a 77 this year!

SPS GALAXIS

* 1989 Dark Bay Mare

Dam: SPS Black Beauty (Black Sky/Wohlstand)
Breeder: A. Middelkampf

Galaxis is an extremely elegant mare with outstanding gaits. She received an 8-walk, 9-trot and 8-free jumping in her German performance testing. Her progeny have proven to be exemplary. Her 1993 filly, Gloree (owned by Barbara Hanel) was the Top Mare of the 1998 American Hanoverian Society inspections. Fairhaven Farm is proud to offer her stunning 1999 filly, Gallatea.

SPS WANKA
